Julie
Lee

Julie Lee began from
childhood to display the characteristics of a strong innate singing
voice. During many of a child's activities, Julie would often sing to
herself while at work and play. As a child she enjoyed singing in the
school and church choirs. In the early 80's, Julie began singing publicly
at shopping malls, rodeos and restaurants. It was about that time
that she started writing her own songs. In 1992, she recorded her
first album, "Bound for the Promised Land", which was a gospel
recording. It gained quite a bit of popularity and airplay in the states as
well as overseas. Julie took some time off in the 90's to move her
family to Southern Oregon. Since then, she has sung in various rock,
country and blues bands and toured with the Bay Area band "Memphis
Exchange" promoting their single "A Prayer for a Soldier",
which can be heard on the air today. Her love of blues, rock and
R'n'B shine through in her singing and add to the flavor of River City's
full sound.
